Site Rentals are our primary business!
The KHTI was created with the goal of providing private land available for rent by different groups within the historical re-enactment community and specifically to cater to the special needs of those communities.
Our roughly 120 acre property is a magnificent piece of the Yosemite foothills, with a varied terrain, capable of hosting everything from a small day event, or a large week long XXL sized event with thousands of attendees.
The event site includes a variety of terrain, with lovely high sierra meadows, rocky outcroppings, shady oak groves, and seasonal streams. It is used as pasture land with cattle, when not being rented for events, and is largely “raw” land, perfect for your historically themed events.
Site rentals include:
24/7 access to the site
Fully enclosed perimeter fencing (dogs and visiting animals need to be leashed or crated)
Access to drinking water
Central driveway into the large lower meadow, safe for trailers
We can assist you with connecting to local vendors to help provide you with amenities like Portable Toilets, Trash dumpsters, and Shower Trucks, but they are the responsibility of the site renter to provide.
Our pricing is extremely flexible. We can offer a per visitor head count price, or a flat fee, based on your preferences.
Please note that we do require the KHTI to be a named “additional insured” as does the County of Mariposa, for your event.
If your event will attract more than 250 attendees, we will need to work with you to acquire an “Assembly Permit” as required by the Sheriff’s office. It’s free, but is rather detailed, and requires more than 30 days notice to acquire, due to the many teams that need to sign off. Our event coordinator can help make this as easy as possible.
We are also in the process of securing a more comprehensive “Conditional Use Permit’ (CUP), which will reduce this complexity in the near future.
Please use the “Contact Us” page to submit an inquiry about using the KHTI land for your next event!
